JAMMU: The security operation to neutralize terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kishtwar district entered its second day on Monday, with intermittent gunfire and loud explosions echoing through the forested area, officials reported.
The terrorists are believed to be holed up inside a cave located on a cliff in the Bhagna forest of Dool area, approximately 25 kilometers from Kishtwar town.
The search operation began early Sunday following intelligence reports indicating the presence of two highly wanted Hizbul Mujahideen militants—Riyaz Ahmad and Mudassar Hazari—who have been active in the district for the past eight years and carry a reward of Rs 10 lakh each.
