Inspector General of CRPF stated that the overall security situation in Srinagar has witnessed a marked improvement over the recent months, crediting coordinated efforts between security forces and civil administration. He noted that enhanced surveillance, intensified area domination, and increased cooperation from local residents have collectively contributed to a more stable and secure environment in the summer capital.
The IG highlighted that incidents of violence have reduced considerably, and several anti-national modules have been successfully dismantled through precise intelligence-based operations. He added that continuous monitoring and rapid response mechanisms have played a key role in thwarting potential threats.
Emphasizing the importance of community engagement, the IG said that regular interactions with citizens, traders, and local bodies have helped in fostering trust and strengthening public confidence in the law-enforcement agencies. He assured that security forces will continue to work diligently to maintain peace and ensure the safety of the people.
He further mentioned that security preparedness has been enhanced ahead of winter, with special focus on vulnerable areas, critical infrastructure, and busy public zones. Additional personnel and equipment have been deployed to ensure uninterrupted security cover throughout Srinagar.
