JAMMU: An orientation session on the TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan and Ni-kshay Mitra initiative was held today at the Girls Hostel, University of Jammu.
Organized by the University Health Centre under the Seva Parv and Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan, the program aimed to raise awareness about tuberculosis prevention and care among hostel residents. Around 150 inmates participated in the session.
The session was conducted by State TB Officer Dr. Jyoti Jolly and Dr. Neha Pathania, who provided comprehensive guidance on the TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan. The STC team encouraged students, along with NSS and My Yuva Bharat volunteers, to register on the Ni-kshay portal and serve as Ni-kshay Mitras, offering psycho-social support to TB patients across the Jammu Division.
The event was also attended by university faculty, including the University Chief Medical Officer, hostel wardens, and staff members.
