Jammu: Police in Jammu and Kashmir’s Udhampur district have arrested seven individuals after raiding a spa allegedly operating as a brothel, officials said on Saturday.
Acting on a tip-off, authorities conducted a raid on the Blue Lotus Spa Centre, located in a private building in Barrian, on Friday night, a police spokesperson said.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the spa was being used to run a brothel. Among those arrested, four were women, the spokesperson added.
A case has been registered under the relevant sections of the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act at the Udhampur police station, and further investigations are ongoing.
