Shehnaaz Gill on Love and Relationships: “Nothing Is Perfect, But Effort Matters”
Mumbai: Actress Shehnaaz Gill, whose latest film Ikk Kudi explores the search for the right partner, believes that perfection in relationships is a myth — what truly counts, she says, is the effort both partners invest.
When asked about her idea of a perfect marriage, relationship, or partner, Shehnaaz shared that while the future of any relationship is uncertain, commitment and consistent effort make all the difference.
“Nothing is perfect — it’s not perfect. But the more you try to make things better, the more fulfilling they become,” Shehnaaz said.
Having stepped into film production with Ikk Kudi, Shehnaaz emphasized the importance of nurturing love. “Invest in your relationship; it’s very important. You never know how things will turn out in the future. Sometimes people reveal their true selves only after marriage. But you should still do your best — the rest depends on fate. If you’re lucky, you’ll meet a good person; if not, you’ll learn from it,” she said.
Ikk Kudi tells the story of a woman from a family of broken hearts who begins to question her arranged marriage and sets out to uncover her fiancé’s mysterious past.
Shehnaaz rose to fame after her memorable stint on Bigg Boss 13, where her chemistry with the late Sidharth Shukla was widely adored. She began her career in 2015 with the music video Shiv Di Kitaab and made her Punjabi film debut in 2017 with Sat Shri Akaal England.
Her film credits include Kala Shah Kala, Daaka, Honsla Rakh, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, and Thank You for Coming. She has also appeared in several hit music videos such as Shona Shona, Habit, and Gedi Route, and will next be seen in Sab First Class.
