On the evening of 14.12.2015, SI Nitin Khajuria of Police Station Bakshi Nagar was intercepted and attacked by a group of assailants at Gurrah Morh. The attackers, identified as Rishab, Munna D and two unidentified individuals, assaulted him with a tokka and also brandished a pistol during the incident.
SI Nitin sustained injuries and was immediately shifted to GMC Jammu for treatment. Taking cognisance of the attack, FIR No. 158/2025 was registered at Police Station Bakshi Nagar under relevant sections of law, and special teams were formed to trace the accused.
Using technical inputs and human intelligence, police teams tracked the suspects to the Nikki Tawi area. While attempting to flee in the darkness, Rishab and Munna D fell and suffered injuries. Both were arrested and shifted to GMC Jammu for medical care.
Further investigation is underway, and efforts are continuing to identify and apprehend the two remaining unidentified suspects.
