Ganderbal: At least six people were injured in a road accident near Minamarg in Drass on Tuesday morning.
According to officials, a Xylo vehicle (registration JK07-4380) heading towards Srinagar lost control and plunged approximately 150 feet into the Drass River near Khushal Mor, under the jurisdiction of Police Post Minamarg.
The vehicle was carrying six passengers, including the driver. A rescue operation was immediately launched, and all six were safely rescued by police and taken to SDH Drass for medical treatment.
Police Station Drass has registered FIR No. 65/2025 under Sections 281 and 125(a) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita in connection with the accident.
