SRINAGAR: Deputy Commissioner Srinagar on Sunday said that the district administration is fully prepared to deal with any snowfall situation, assuring residents that all necessary arrangements have been put in place to minimise inconvenience and ensure public safety.

The DC said that men, machinery and essential supplies have been positioned in advance to ensure prompt snow clearance and uninterrupted delivery of basic services. Departments concerned have been directed to remain on high alert, with special emphasis on maintaining road connectivity, power supply, water services and healthcare facilities.

He added that control rooms are operational round the clock to monitor the situation and respond swiftly to any emergency. The administration is also coordinating closely with line departments, municipal authorities and disaster management teams to ensure a quick and effective response during snowfall.

Appealing to the public for cooperation, the Deputy Commissioner advised people to follow official advisories, avoid unnecessary travel during heavy snowfall and report any issues to the concerned authorities for timely assistance.

The district administration reiterated its commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of residents and said it remains vigilant and prepared to handle any weather-related challenges.
