Mumbai: The teaser for Jatadhara, marking Sonakshi Sinha’s Telugu debut, has been unveiled. Starring alongside Sudheer Babu, the actress steps into a dark, supernatural epic brimming with mystery, magic, and drama.
The 1-minute-12-second teaser introduces Sudheer Babu as a formidable figure “born from sacrifice” and Sonakshi Sinha as a mystical presence “created by greed.” It teases an intense showdown between the two.
Sonakshi’s striking transformation—long flowing hair, ornate accessories, and an enigmatic aura—has taken fans by surprise. The haunting background score and stunning visuals set the stage for a gripping fantasy narrative.
Directed by Venkat Kalyan and Abhishek Jaiswal, Jatadhara also features Shilpa Shirodkar, Ravi Prakash, Indira Krishna, Naveen Neni, Shreya Sharma, Subhalekha Sudhakar, and Rajeev Kanakala. Earlier this month, a newly released poster offered a first glimpse of the film’s lead characters.
On the work front, Sonakshi was last seen in the July 18 release Nikita Roy, a horror drama in which she plays a determined author investigating her brother’s mysterious death—believing it to be murder despite the police ruling it a suicide.
She also appeared in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s acclaimed Netflix series Heeramandi, set in the 1940s during India’s independence movement. The show explores the intricate world of courtesans and their patrons, marking Bhansali’s streaming debut.
