Mumbai: Punjabi actor Sonam Bajwa has officially joined the cast of Border 2, one of the most awaited Bollywood films, set to hit theatres in January 2026.
The makers announced on Monday that Sonam will star opposite Diljit Dosanjh in the film.
“Welcoming @sonambajwa to the #Border2 family, opposite @diljitdosanjh. A tale where grace and glory unite – releasing in cinemas on January 22, 2026,” read a post from the official Instagram handle of T-Series Films.
Directed by Anurag Singh, Border 2 also features Sunny Deol and Varun Dhawan in key roles.
Speaking about the sequel to the iconic film Border, producer Bhushan Kumar said, “Border is more than a film, it’s an emotion for every Indian. With Border 2, we want to carry forward that legacy and present it to a new generation. The new release date allows audiences to come together and experience the film during the extended Republic Day weekend.”
Director Anurag Singh added that it was an “honour” to pay tribute to the indomitable spirit of Indian soldiers through Border 2.
The film is slated for release on January 22, 2026.
