“Spectacular”: Shibani Akhtar praises Farhan Akhtar’s ‘120 Bahadur’ teaser; Zoya Akhtar echoes the sentiment

Mumbai: The official teaser of Farhan Akhtar’s upcoming film 120 Bahadur was unveiled on Tuesday, sparking a wave of emotional reactions from audiences. While many praised Akhtar’s powerful portrayal of the valiant Major Shaitan Singh Bhati, others celebrated his long-awaited return to the big screen.

Among the supporters was Akhtar’s wife, Shibani Akhtar, who shared her admiration on Instagram.
Posting the teaser on her social media, she wrote,
“This is spectacular! Couldn’t be prouder of you and your men @faroutakhtar. Love you.”
She added,
“Yeh wardi sirf himmat nahin, balidaan bhi maangti hai! Based on the incredible true story of a war forged in snow and sealed with sacrifice. 120 Bahadur teaser out now. Releasing in cinemas near you on 21st Nov, 2025. #120Bahadur #EkSauBeesBahadur #DadaKishanKiJai.”

Filmmaker Zoya Akhtar, Farhan’s sister, also shared the teaser on Instagram, leading a chorus of praise from the film industry.

Several Bollywood celebrities, including Arjun Kapoor, Rhea Chakraborty, Gajraj Rao, Farah Khan, and Sharvari, joined in applauding the teaser, expressing excitement and admiration for the film.

Directed by Razneesh ‘Razy’ Ghai and produced by Ritesh Sidhwani, Farhan Akhtar, and Amit Chandrra, 120 Bahadur is based on the legendary Battle of Rezang La. The film pays homage to the 120 brave soldiers of the Charlie Company, 13 Kumaon Regiment, who held their ground against an estimated 3,000 Chinese troops.

“A moment in history where courage refused to fail,” the makers wrote.

The teaser offers a glimpse of Farhan Akhtar as Major Shaitan Singh Bhati, the Param Vir Chakra awardee who led the Indian troops with unwavering resolve. The visuals highlight intense battle scenes and the indomitable spirit of the Indian soldiers.

Filming took place across various Indian locations, including Ladakh, Rajasthan, and Mumbai.

120 Bahadur is set to release in theatres on November 21, 2025.
