SRINAGAR: Authorities on Tuesday carried out raids at several locations in the city as part of a drive against rotten and adulterated meat in the Kashmir Valley.
“In a joint operation, Srinagar Police and the Food Safety Department raided multiple sites across the city, targeting vendors suspected of selling unhygienic and expired meat,” a police spokesperson said.
He added that large quantities of spoiled meat were seized during the raids and destroyed on the spot under provisions of the Food Safety and Standards Act.
