Srinagar to Host Kashmir Literature Festival-2025 on October 11-12

Srinagar will host the two-day Kashmir Literature Festival (KLF)-2025 on October 11-12, celebrating literature, culture, and heritage, organisers announced on Saturday.

A flagship initiative of the Srikula Foundation, the festival will take place at the Sher-i-Kashmir International Convention Centre, bringing together renowned authors, poets, journalists, thinkers, and artists to engage in dialogue and celebrate the world of words.

The festival will feature thought-provoking panel discussions, book launches, poetry readings, cultural performances, and more, offering a vibrant platform for creativity and inspiration. Over 50 speakers and authors from various fields will participate, covering topics including contemporary literature, history, media, art, technology, and cultural heritage, with special emphasis on young voices, women writers, and Kashmiri literature.

Highlights of the festival will include a book fair, art exhibition, and events showcasing Kashmir’s rich traditions.

Naira Manzoor of the Srikula Foundation said the festival aims to preserve and promote Kashmir’s literary heritage while providing a platform for writers and storytellers to reach wider audiences.

Jehanzeb Allaqband, a member of the organising team, described KLF as more than just a gathering of writers—it is a space where stories come alive, voices are heard, and dialogue bridges communities. He added that the festival nurtures emerging talent and showcases the Valley’s cultural and literary richness to both local and global audiences.
