Jammu, November 20 — The State Investigation Agency (SIA) of Jammu & Kashmir Police carried out a raid at the Kashmir Times office in Jammu as part of an ongoing investigation. The operation took place at the newspaper’s Residency Road premises under security cover.
Officials said the search was linked to a case registered against the publication. During the raid, documents, computers, and other records were checked and taken for examination.
The Kashmir Times, a long-standing English-language newspaper in the region, has been under scrutiny for its editorial content. Authorities noted that the raid forms part of a wider inquiry into suspected misuse of media platforms.
Police stated that the investigation is continuing and further questioning of individuals connected with the publication is expected. The SIA said due process will be followed throughout the proceedings.
