Stockpile of war-like materials recovered from a hideout in Kupwara

SRINAGAR: Security forces have uncovered a hideout and seized a significant cache of weapons and ammunition in Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir, the Army said on Sunday.

Acting on specific intelligence, security personnel conducted a search operation in the Kotnala area of north Kashmir during the early hours, an Army official stated.

The operation led to the recovery of a Chinese pistol, four Pakistan-made under-barrel grenade launchers (UBGLs), four Chinese hand grenades, a sniper rifle magazine with 26 rounds, an AK-47 magazine with 144 rounds, a bag, and two Chinese-language leaflets, the official added.
