Rajouri, December 20: In a firm move to safeguard the academic interests of students, Chief Education Officer (CEO) Rajouri, Mohammad Hafiz, has taken a strict stand against teachers who have failed to join their new postings following transfers under ATD-2025 or deployments to staff-deficient schools across the district.

While reviewing the situation, the CEO observed that several teachers have not reported to their assigned schools despite clear and official transfer and deployment orders. This non-compliance has caused serious disruption to classroom teaching and has adversely affected the functioning of many government schools, particularly those already grappling with acute staff shortages.

Taking serious note of the issue, the CEO Rajouri issued a strict circular granting a final opportunity to all such teachers to report to their respective places of posting within three days from the date of issuance of the circular. He clarified that the decision has been taken in the larger interest of students and to ensure continuity in the academic process.

The circular categorically warns that any teacher failing to comply within the stipulated time will be liable for action under Article 226 of the Jammu and Kashmir Civil Service Regulations (CSRs). Such cases will be placed before the competent higher authorities for further disciplinary action as per rules.

Reiterating his commitment to accountability and quality education, Mohammad Hafiz emphasized that no laxity will be tolerated when it comes to students’ education. He assured that the administration will ensure the availability of teachers in all schools, especially those facing staff shortages.
