Students and teacher of GHSS Jhiri tie Rakhi to the President of India — A historic and touching moment

JAMMU: In a moment to be treasured forever, two outstanding students from HSS Jhiri, Jammu, along with their teacher, were honored with a rare and memorable opportunity to meet the President of India, Droupadi Murmu, at Rashtrapati Bhavan on the special occasion of Raksha Bandhan.

The delegation included Class 9 students Manvi and Anshu Devi, accompanied by their Lecturer, Priti Malhotra.
With immense pride and joy, these young representatives from the Jammu Division tied a Rakhi on the President’s wrist, symbolizing a timeless bond of protection and respect.

Reflecting on the experience, Priti Malhotra said, “It was a proud and humbling moment for all of us. Meeting the President in person has inspired our students deeply, fostering in them a stronger sense of patriotism and responsibility toward the nation.”

The students were left captivated by President Murmu’s humility, warmth, and encouraging words. Her gracious presence and blessings sparked in them a renewed determination to excel and serve the country.
Additionally, the students had the chance to visit the Prime Minister’s Museum, Amrut Udyan, and the War Memorial.
