Kupwara, Nov 17: Leader of the Opposition Sunil Sharma has urged the government to introduce a risk allowance for Jammu and Kashmir Police personnel, acknowledging the dangerous conditions in which they serve. He said the force consistently works on the front lines, facing threats and challenges that demand additional support and recognition. Sharma emphasised that providing a risk allowance would be a meaningful step toward honouring their dedication while ensuring their welfare. He appealed to the administration to take up the matter at the earliest, noting that the police deserve stronger institutional backing for the crucial role they play in maintaining peace and security.
