Mumbai: Bollywood star Sunny Deol has showered praise on Aryan Khan, son of Shah Rukh Khan, for his upcoming Netflix series The Ba**ds of Bollywood*.
Sunny took to Instagram to reshare the preview of the show, calling it “fantastic.” He also highlighted brother Bobby Deol’s excitement about the project, extending his wishes to Aryan:
“Dear @aryan , your show is looking absolutely fantastic! Bob has been full of praise, your father will be very proud. Wishing you all the very best, beta. Chak De Phatte.”
The makers recently dropped the much-anticipated preview of Aryan Khan’s directorial debut. Following the powerful first-look release, expectations for the series have soared.
The preview begins with a narration about Bollywood, described as the “city of dreams,” and a voiceover stating: “In this world, some are born at the house of a hero, while some are born as heroes.”
It then shifts to high-octane action sequences featuring Lakshya as Aasmaan Singh. His character is seen falling in love with the daughter of “India’s biggest superstar,” played by Bobby Deol, which leads him into a whirlwind of fame, romance, and chaos.
According to the makers, the series is “the ultimate underdog story that asks: how far will you go for your dream, what are you willing to lose, and can you survive a few Bollywood baddies along the way?”
The cast also includes Raghav Juyal and Mona Singh, along with cameo appearances by Karan Johar, Ranveer Singh, and Salman Khan.
The preview was unveiled at a grand event in Mumbai on Wednesday, attended by Shah Rukh Khan, Aryan Khan, and producer Gauri Khan.
Written and directed by Aryan Khan, The Ba**ds of Bollywood* is produced under Red Chillies Entertainment and is set to release on Netflix on September 18, 2025.
