Taiwan’s Ministry of Defense reported that it detected 30 Chinese military aircraft and eight naval vessels near its territorial waters on Saturday. Officials said the aircraft included fighter jets, bombers, and surveillance planes, while the ships consisted of various naval vessels operating in formation. The ministry added that its air defense and naval forces monitored the activity closely, tracking the movements to ensure the security of Taiwan’s airspace and maritime boundaries.

The authorities reiterated that such maneuvers by China are considered provocative and could escalate tensions in the region. Taiwan has maintained a high state of vigilance, conducting patrols and readiness drills in response to repeated incursions near its borders. Defense officials emphasized that all movements are being carefully observed and that Taiwan is prepared to take necessary measures to safeguard its sovereignty.
