Jammu: BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh on Saturday criticized Chief Minister Omar Abdullah for his remarks on Ladakh, saying he has failed to deliver on any of the promises made to the people of Jammu and Kashmir before the elections.
Speaking to reporters, Chugh urged the CM to focus on addressing pressing issues in J&K instead of diverting attention to Ladakh. He also accused the Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi and other opposition parties of spreading negativity whenever there is a positive atmosphere in the country.
Chugh highlighted that India’s Gen-Z is contributing to the nation’s self-reliance by following policies promoted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. “PM Modi has provided a clear direction for the youth and continues to work for their welfare, with results visible across the country,” he said.
On the situation in Ladakh, Chugh stated that the Central government is actively engaged in discussions through multiple rounds of talks. He recalled that the BJP had created the Union Territory of Ladakh by reorganizing five districts and granting UT status to regions seeking separation.
“Under PM Modi’s leadership, Ladakh, like Jammu & Kashmir, is entering a new era of progress and development,” he added.
