TB Mukt Bharat: Rajouri DC Holds Review Meeting

Rajouri, December 19, 2025: Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Abhishek Sharma, today chaired a detailed review meeting to assess the progress of the TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan in the district and to strengthen strategies aimed at achieving the national goal of a tuberculosis-free India.

During the meeting, the DC examined existing strategies and action plans to accelerate TB case detection, improve treatment outcomes, and ensure smooth coordination among departments. He stressed the importance of timely diagnosis, uninterrupted treatment, and active community participation in making the district TB-free.

The DC reviewed the status of active TB patients, the engagement of Nikshay Mitras, distribution of Poshan Kits, and the progress of diagnostic services including NAAT tests, microscopy, and X-ray facilities. He also looked into the functioning of the District Tuberculosis Centre (DTC), pending consent cases, implementation of TB Preventive Treatment (TPT), and mechanisms for following up with patients lost to care.

Deputy Commissioner Sharma directed officers to intensify active case finding, ensure regular follow-ups, and strengthen nutritional and social support for TB patients. He emphasized effective coordination between Health, ICDS, and other allied departments to maximize outreach and impact.

Reiterating the administration’s commitment, the DC assured that sustained efforts, close monitoring, and community engagement will continue to drive the district towards eliminating tuberculosis.

The meeting was attended by DSEO Rajouri, Sandeep Sharma; CMO Rajouri, Dr. Manohar Lal Rana; District Tuberculosis Officer; and other concerned officials. All Block Medical Officers participated virtually.
