India head coach Gautam Gambhir hosted a special dinner for the national men’s cricket team and support staff at his Delhi residence on Wednesday, ahead of the second and final Test against the West Indies at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Friday.

The relaxed evening gave players a welcome break following their commanding victory in the opening Test in Ahmedabad. Among those in attendance were captain Shubman Gill, all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, opener Yashasvi Jaiswal, and wicketkeeper-batter KL Rahul, along with several other squad members and members of the coaching staff.

BCCI vice-president Rajiv Shukla also joined the gathering, adding a formal touch to the otherwise casual occasion. Sources described the atmosphere as lively and upbeat, with players and staff sharing light-hearted conversations as they reflected on their recent win and discussed the upcoming challenge.

Gambhir, known for his intensity and team-first mindset, has consistently highlighted the value of trust and unity off the field as the foundation for success on it.

With confidence running high, India will aim to continue their dominance and complete a 2–0 series sweep over the West Indies.
