Mumbai: The long-awaited teaser of Tere Ishk Mein, starring Dhanush and Kriti Sanon, is finally out, offering a glimpse into a passionate love story of rebels.
Billed as a spiritual sequel to the Dhanush-Sonam Kapoor hit Raanjhanaa, the film is directed by Anand L Rai, with music composed by AR Rahman.
The two-minute, four-second teaser opens with Kriti Sanon’s Haldi ceremony, which is dramatically gatecrashed by Dhanush. Sporting a swollen eye and bruises on his nose, Dhanush approaches her while delivering a heartfelt monologue mourning the loss of his father.
In a tense sequence, Dhanush, his eyes filled with anger, pours holy Ganga water on Kriti, urging her to cleanse herself of past sins before embarking on a new chapter in life. The teaser then transitions to flashbacks showing the duo falling in love. The climax of the teaser sees Dhanush cursing Kriti, saying, “May Shankar bless you with a son. Then you’ll understand that those who die for love… they too are somebody’s son.”
The teaser was shared by India’s leading music label, T-Series, on their Instagram handle on Wednesday.
Tere Ishk Mein is set to release in theatres on November 28, 2025.
Director Aanand L Rai first announced the project on the 10th anniversary of Raanjhanaa, his 2013 romantic drama that also featured Dhanush. The teaser includes a gripping monologue from Dhanush against a backdrop of narrow alleys and mounting tension: “Pichli baar toh Kundan tha, maan gaya. Par iss baar Shankar ko kaise rokoge?” hinting at a darker, more volatile character in this instalment.
Produced under the banners of Gulshan Kumar, T-Series, and Colour Yellow Productions, the film is backed by producers Aanand L Rai, Himanshu Sharma, Bhushan Kumar, and Krishan Kumar.
