Rajouri, Dec 5: Police in Nowshera have booked a house owner for violating tenant verification norms, officials said on Friday.

Authorities stated that the landlord failed to comply with mandatory verification procedures before renting out the premises. The lapse was detected during routine checks aimed at ensuring security and maintaining law and order in the border district.

Police emphasised that strict action will be taken against individuals who ignore tenant verification requirements, as such violations pose risks to public safety. The case has been registered and further investigation is underway.

Officials urged residents to adhere to verification guidelines and cooperate with law enforcement agencies to prevent misuse of rented accommodations.
