Srinagar: Security forces have uncovered a terrorist hideout in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kupwara district, seizing a large cache of arms and ammunition, officials said on Thursday.
According to the Srinagar-based Chinar Corps of the Indian Army, a joint operation by the Army and police was launched on Wednesday in the Brijthor forest area of Warsun, Kupwara, following specific intelligence inputs.
“During the search, the forces busted a hideout and recovered two AK-series rifles, four rocket launchers, a significant quantity of ammunition, and other war-like stores,” the Chinar Corps said in a post on X.
