Mumbai: Aryan Khan, the eldest son of superstar couple Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan, has been making headlines ever since his directorial debut, The Ba**ds of Bollywood*, premiered on Netflix.
The show has won widespread acclaim, with social media abuzz over its engaging clips, star-studded cameos, and standout performances by Raghav Juyal, Lakshya, and Manoj Pahwa.
Amid the show’s success, Suhana Khan took to Instagram on Sunday to cheer for her elder brother, sharing a heartwarming childhood photo of Aryan with their father, Shah Rukh Khan. She captioned the post: “Always been number 1.”
In the throwback, a young Aryan is seen proudly holding a certificate and a prize from a school event, standing alongside SRK. Suhana also posted photos from the Mumbai screening of The Ba**ds of Bollywood* alongside her brother.
Earlier, filmmaker Farah Khan praised Aryan for his dedication and talent. She wrote on Instagram: “My boy! The kindest, sweetest, most talented and hardworking director I’ve ever had the privilege to choreograph for… @aryan may the movie gods bless you with love and success for #TheBa**dsOfBollywood. Love you!”*
Actor Bobby Deol also lauded Aryan’s confidence as a first-time director in an interview with Media, noting his rare conviction. He remarked that Aryan displayed a “mature experience” far beyond his years.
Deol added: “The conviction he has as a director, and his obsession with directing in the best sense, is remarkable. I’ve never seen such maturity in a director, and the way he has handled every character is impressive. He has created the entire show—hats off to him. He’s just incredible, both as a professional and as a human being. He’s raised the kids with so much love; they’re so well-behaved, and his talent is undeniable.”
