Katra: Three people, including an auto-rickshaw driver and two devotees on their way to the Mata Vaishno Devi shrine, were killed, while two others sustained injuries in a tragic road accident near Serli village in Katra on Tuesday morning.
According to officials, the mishap occurred when an auto-rickshaw and a bus coming from the Helipad towards Katra collided head-on. The impact was so severe that three people died on the spot, while two others were injured.
The injured have been shifted to a nearby hospital, where their condition is being closely monitored. Police have registered a case and launched an investigation into the incident.
