Poonch, 12 December 2025: District Police Poonch, continuing its focused drive against illegal mining, today seized one tipper and two tractor‑trolleys found transporting minerals without valid permission.
During routine checking, police teams intercepted the vehicles and detected unauthorized extraction and movement of minerals. All three vehicles were seized on the spot, and the Mining Department has been informed for further legal action as per law.
District Police Poonch reaffirmed its commitment to protecting environmental resources and preventing illegal mining activities. Officials said enforcement efforts will remain strict and consistent across the district.
