Anantnag: Two individuals died from electric shock while attempting to salvage goods from a flooded market in the Gangiwara area near Achabal Adda in Anantnag district on Wednesday.
According to sources, the victims came into contact with a live wire while trying to retrieve belongings from waterlogged shops.
Rescue teams arrived promptly, but both were pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities have urged residents in flood-affected areas to exercise extreme caution, especially near submerged electrical installations.
