Jammu: Police on Saturday arrested two alleged drug peddlers in Jammu and recovered over three kilograms of heroin, valued at approximately ₹15 crore, officials said.
A patrol team headed by the SHO of Gandhi Nagar police station apprehended the suspects near a crematorium in Shastri Nagar, a police spokesperson stated.
In total, 3.260 kg of heroin was seized, which the spokesperson described as a “major recovery” and a “significant setback” for drug traffickers in the region.
A case has been registered under relevant provisions of the NDPS Act and the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), and further investigation is underway, the spokesperson added.
