Jammu: Two Special Police Officers (SPOs) have been dismissed from service in Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir over alleged links with terrorists, officials said on Sunday.
According to officials, the dismissed officers — Abdul Latief and Mohd Abbas — had earlier been arrested for their suspected involvement in terror-related activities.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kathua, Mohita Sharma, issued orders terminating their services with immediate effect.
The two officers are accused of providing assistance to terrorists, the officials added.
