JAMMU: In accordance with the directions of the Director School Education Jammu, Naseen Javaid Chowdhary, a Unity Pledge Taking Ceremony was held today in the premises of the Directorate to commemorate Rashtriya Ekta Diwas, celebrating the legacy of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel — the indomitable architect of India’s unity and a resolute guardian of her sovereignty.
All officers and staff members of the Directorate participated in the solemn ceremony, taking the Pledge of Unity and Integrity in honour of the visionary leader whose courage and conviction united a fragmented land into one nation. The event went beyond a mere formality, serving as a reminder that a nation’s true strength lies in the integrity and moral resolve of its people.
On the occasion, Director School Education Jammu remarked, “Sardar Patel did not merely unify the land; he fortified its soul. His iron was not in his hand but in his heart — in his clarity of purpose and discipline of thought. Let education, therefore, be our enduring tribute to him — a patient builder of unity and a quiet craftsman of national character, where the classroom becomes the first frontier of cohesion.”
The ceremony concluded with the collective recitation of the National Unity Pledge, the voices of participants rising in unison — a reaffirmation that the spirit of oneness, kindled by the Iron Man of India, continues to illuminate the nation’s path.
