Mumbai: Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan has completed the shoot for his upcoming war drama Border 2.
On Wednesday, the film’s makers took to social media to share glimpses from the final day on set. A video posted online shows Varun celebrating the wrap-up by cutting a cake alongside co-star Medha Rana, director Anurag Singh, producer Bhushan Kumar, and other crew members.
Following the celebration, Varun visited the Golden Temple in Amritsar to seek blessings.

Marking the completion of his shoot, #VarunDhawan along with co-star #MedhaRana, producer #BhushanKumar, co-producer #ShivChanana, #BinnoyKGandhi, & director #AnuragSingh began with a heartwarming on-set celebration, followed by a special visit to the Golden Temple in Amritsar,” the production team shared on Instagram.
Varun also reshared the post on his Instagram Story and expressed his gratitude, writing:
“Thank you Bhushanji, Shivji, @nidhiduttaofficial, @binnoykgandhi and @anurag_singh_films for making me a part of your dream. Eternally grateful to play this character. #Border2.”
The Bhediya actor has been actively sharing updates on social media about the film. In another post, he shared photos from the fields of Punjab, dressed in a simple white kurta-pyjama, enjoying the serenity of village life.
Before Varun, actor-singer Diljit Dosanjh had also completed his part of the shoot. A video on his social media showed him distributing sweets among crew members and villagers as he bid an emotional farewell.
Directed by Anurag Singh, Border 2 stars Sunny Deol in the lead role and features an ensemble cast. The film is slated for release on January 23, 2026.
