Jammu: A Village Defense Guard (VDG) member died by suicide in the Akra Nagbatan area of Bhatkoot in Kishtwar district on Saturday morning.
According to sources, the VDG member used his rifle at his residence, leading to his immediate death.
He has been identified as Tek Chand, 45, son of Prem Nath, and a resident of Akra Nagbatan.
A police team promptly reached the scene and initiated an investigation into the incident.
