Vivo X Fold 5 vs Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7: Design, Price, Specs and More Compared
Vivo has launched the X Fold 5 in India this week, taking direct aim at Samsung’s latest foldable, the Galaxy Z Fold 7. With OnePlus skipping the Open 2 launch in 2025, the foldable segment in India is heating up with Vivo and Samsung leading the charge. Following the success of last year’s X Fold 3 Pro, Vivo continues to prove that foldable devices can be premium and uncompromising.

The Vivo X Fold 5 features a triple rear camera setup comprising:
- 50MP wide primary sensor with OIS
- 50MP periscope telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom and OIS
- 50MP ultra-wide lens
It also offers dual 20MP selfie cameras—one on the main screen and another on the cover display.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 packs a triple rear camera array as well:

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 features the newer Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Elite SoC with 12GB or 16GB RAM, and storage options ranging from 256GB to 1TB. It debuts with Android 16 and promises 7 years of OS and security updates, a major advantage in long-term support.
