Patna: Voting for 122 constituencies in Bihar began on Tuesday morning in the second and final phase of the high-stakes assembly elections, amid tight security, officials said.
Polling started at 7 a.m. and will continue until 5 p.m.
In this phase, the electoral fate of 1,302 candidates, including several ministers from Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s government, will be decided.
The phase also marks a crucial test of strength for NDA allies — the Hindustani Awam Morcha led by Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi and the Rashtriya Lok Morcha headed by Rajya Sabha MP Upendra Kushwaha.
