Xiaomi Unveils HyperOS 3: Features and Eligible Devices for Android 16 Update
Xiaomi has officially revealed the details of HyperOS 3, including its new features and the list of devices that will receive the update this year. The company announced the Android 16-based HyperOS 3 on Wednesday during a major launch event in China. This is the latest iteration of Xiaomi’s operating system, and the brand has now shared the official rollout plan for users eagerly awaiting the update. So far, Google, Samsung, and even Nothing have shared their Android 16 rollout schedules, with some devices already running the new version.
What’s New in HyperOS 3?
Xiaomi’s HyperOS 3 aims to bring some Apple-inspired features to Android devices. A notable addition is HyperIsland, which resembles the Dynamic Island notch found on iPhones. It offers live activities on the notch, including real-time details like your phone’s charging speed.
Another major update focuses on AI-powered tools through Hyper AI. Users can access AI writing tools to change writing styles or tones, while AI-based speech recognition can record, transcribe, and summarize conversations in real time.
The photo gallery also benefits from AI enhancements, allowing smarter searches for items like food and other categories. Additionally, HyperOS 3 introduces dynamic wallpapers and lock screens, further enriching the user experience.
