Mumbai: Actor Genelia Deshmukh, known for her vibrant social media presence, often engages with fans on Instagram.
On Wednesday, she hosted an “Ask Me Anything” session where she opened up about her upcoming projects and shared her thoughts on love and relationships. The Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na star kept the interaction light and candid.
During the session, a fan professed his love and proposed to her. Genelia, who has been married to actor Riteish Deshmukh since 2012, responded playfully, saying, “I would have considered it, but I’m already married to the most gorgeous man ever.”
When asked to share the best relationship advice, she offered a thoughtful response: “Don’t listen to anyone’s advice. Your experiences are yours.”
In an earlier interview with ANI, Riteish Deshmukh shared the principles he follows for a happy marriage with Genelia.
“Every couple eventually finds their own rhythm,” he said. “But for me, there are three key elements: First, respect—always respect your partner, even during arguments. If respect slips away, it leaves a crack that’s hard to fix. Like a broken plate, even if mended, the crack remains visible. Second, prioritize your partner’s needs above your own. Lastly, maintain a sense of humour—it goes a long way.”
Genelia and Riteish got married on February 3, 2012. They have two sons: Riaan, born in November 2014, and Rahyl, born in June 2016.
