BARAMULLA, A sporting wave continues to sweep across Baramulla as the Inter-School Zonal Level Competitions in Volleyball, Kabaddi, and Kho-Kho enter their peak phase.
The grand event has witnessed participation from thousands of students across various zones.
In a display of enthusiasm and energy, YSS Zone Singpora Kalan successfully concluded competitions in all three disciplines for Under-14 and Under-17 boys, while Zone Nehalpora held an intense Kabaddi competition at BMS Nehalpora with 75 students participating. Zone Wagoora carried out a Volleyball competition for Under-17 boys at HSS Authoora, drawing in 80 students.
Zone Dangiwacha witnessed a massive turnout across all categories, with 252 participants in Kho-Kho U-14, 108 in Kho-Kho U-17, 228 in Volleyball U-14, and 96 in Volleyball U-17, reflecting deep grassroots involvement. Meanwhile, Zone Fatehgarh conducted Kho-Kho competitions for both age groups at HSS Fatehgarh, engaging 150 students.
Adding to the sporting momentum, Zone Kunzer saw vibrant participation in Volleyball events with 278 students in U-14 and 72 in U-17 categories. Zone Rohama too played its part, organizing a multi-sport event featuring Volleyball, Kho-Kho, and Kabaddi for Under-17 boys, with 177 students taking part.
