DC Rajouri celebrates Diwali with Palaash children, spreads joy and inclusion
RAJOURI: Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Abhishek Sharma, celebrated Diwali with children from Palaash, an institution for orphaned and underprivileged children in Nowshera. The event radiated warmth and happiness, reflecting the true spirit of inclusion as the DC interacted with the children and distributed sweets among them.
The celebration aimed to bring smiles to young faces and ensure they shared in the joy, hope, and togetherness that Diwali represents. The Deputy Commissioner spent quality time with the children, encouraged their participation in festive activities, and commended the dedication of caregivers and staff for their efforts toward the children’s welfare.
Speaking on the occasion, DC Abhishek Sharma said that Diwali is not just a festival of lights but a celebration of compassion, kindness, and togetherness. He emphasized that sharing such moments with underprivileged children strengthens empathy and reinforces society’s collective responsibility to nurture an inclusive and caring community.
The Deputy Commissioner was accompanied by ADC Nowshera Pritam Lal Thapa, Tehsildar Nowshera, and other district and sectoral officers.
