DC Rajouri inaugurates Badminton Court, stresses youth participation in sports
RAJOURI: Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Abhishek Sharma, today inaugurated a newly developed badminton court at the Sports Stadium, Kheora, further strengthening the district’s sports infrastructure.
Following the inauguration, the Deputy Commissioner interacted with athletes, including boxers, badminton players, and other sportspersons who regularly train at the stadium. He commended their commitment and urged them to continue striving for excellence in their respective fields.
Reviewing the existing sports facilities, the DC instructed officials of the J&K Sports Council to enhance youth engagement through outreach initiatives and sporting activities. He emphasized the need for inclusive and accessible sports opportunities to channel the potential of young people in a positive direction.
“The district administration is dedicated to promoting youth involvement through sports and developing modern infrastructure to nurture local talent,” he said.
Additional SP Bikram Kumar and other officers were also present on the occasion.
