SRINAGAR: Several legislators on Tuesday withdrew their Private Members’ Bills after the government assured them that their concerns and suggestions would be taken into account and reflected in future policies.
Those who withdrew their bills included Tanvir Sadiq, M Y Tarigami, Mir Saifullah, Nizam-ud-din Bhat, Altaf Ahmad Wani, and Mubarik Gul.
Meanwhile, legislators Waheed Ur Rehman Para and Balwant Singh Mankotia sought permission to introduce their Private Members’ Bills, but the House, through a voice vote, denied leave for introduction.
