Army Public School Damana Hosts Three-Day Scouts and Guides Camp to Foster Discipline and Teamwork
Damana,: Army Public School Damana successfully organized a three-day Scouts and Guides Camp on 1st, 3rd, and 4th November 2025 within the school premises. The camp began with the traditional Scout and Guide prayer and promise, setting the tone for three enriching days of learning, discipline, and camaraderie.
Eminent resource persons from the Headquarters of Bharat Scouts and Guides —. R. P. Kotwal (STC–Scouts), Manjeet Kaur (JTSTC–Guides), and. K. L. Sharma (AC–Comm.) — conducted engaging sessions covering the Pravesh and Dwitiya Sopan syllabi. Students were introduced to essential scouting skills including basic knots, life skills, songs, yells, discipline, and sign language. The sessions combined practical demonstrations with motivational guidance, inspiring participants to embrace the true spirit of Scouting and Guiding.
During their visit, the resource persons also interacted with the Balvatika Wing’s Bunny Section, encouraging the young learners to become future members of the movement. They appreciated the zeal of the participants and expressed gratitude to the Principal, Vice Principal, and the School Management for their unwavering support in nurturing the Scouts and Guides program at the school.
Mrs. Pushpinder Kaur, Principal of APS Damana, lauded the efforts of both students and instructors, urging participants to uphold scouting principles of helpfulness, kindness, and empathy. She emphasized that such camps provide students with opportunities to challenge themselves, build confidence, and discover hidden talents.
The camp concluded with a closing ceremony and rendition of the National Anthem, marking the end of a memorable event that instilled values of teamwork, discipline, responsibility, and service to humanity among all participants.
