New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has instructed all affiliated schools not to send any requests for countersignature of transfer certificates (TCs) to its headquarters or regional offices.

According to officials, the Board had already discontinued the requirement for countersignature of TCs issued from one CBSE-affiliated school to another.

“Despite this, the headquarters and regional offices continue to receive such requests. Non-compliance with CBSE guidelines causes unnecessary inconvenience to stakeholders and hinders smooth processes in this digital age,” said CBSE Examination Controller Sanyam Bhardwaj.

He further emphasized, “All schools are once again reminded that there is no need for countersignature of any transfer certificate.”
