Transport Commissioner reviews functioning of MVD during Udhampur visit
UDHAMPUR: Transport Commissioner Vishesh Paul Mahajan today visited Udhampur and conducted a comprehensive review of the functioning of the Motor Vehicles Department (MVD).
During his inspection, the Commissioner interacted with enforcement staff and officers at the Ban Toll Plaza, taking first-hand assessment of enforcement operations and transport regulation activities.
He stressed the importance of coordinated enforcement across all entry and exit points and directed that Toll Plazas should share real-time vehicle data, videos, and enforcement details with the MVD to enhance road safety and regulatory compliance.
Appreciating the efforts of the enforcement teams, the Transport Commissioner instructed them to maintain strict vigilance against violators to ensure safe and disciplined road transport operations.
Later, the Commissioner launched the ‘New Venue 2025’ at VK Automart Pvt. Ltd., Devika Hyundai, Udhampur. Speaking on the occasion, he commended the automobile sector for its contribution to regional development and emphasized the promotion of cleaner and safer mobility solutions.
He also visited the ARTO Office Udhampur, where he interacted with officers and staff to review the services being provided and assess the ongoing departmental activities and initiatives.
