Enthusiastic Employees Participate to Strengthen Democratic Process
BUDGAM: The postal ballot voting process commenced today at the BDO Office Budgam for the 27-Assembly Constituency (AC) Budgam, marking a significant step toward ensuring that every eligible voter—particularly employees engaged in essential services—can exercise their democratic right, even if unable to visit polling stations on election day.
Speaking on the occasion, District Election Officer (DEO) Budgam, Dr. Bilal Mohi-ud-Din Bhat, reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to facilitating a free, fair, and transparent voting process for all.
He said the postal ballot facility at the BDO Office Budgam has been systematically organized to provide a smooth and accessible voting experience for employees, further strengthening the democratic fabric.
“As per the Election Commission of India’s (ECI) guidelines, the district administration has worked diligently to assist voters in casting their votes through postal ballots while maintaining the integrity and confidentiality of the process,” the DEO added.
The initiation of postal ballot voting in Budgam underscores the spirit of inclusive electoral participation. The process will continue for three consecutive days, starting from November 5, 2025.
Meanwhile, employees from various essential service departments across the district were seen participating with great enthusiasm and a strong sense of civic responsibility, reflecting their commitment to the democratic process.
