DC, SSP Srinagar Visit Gurudwara Chhati Padshahi, Extend Greetings on Prakash Diwas of Guru Nanak Dev Ji

SRINAGAR: On the auspicious occasion of Prakash Diwas, commemorating the 556th birth anniversary of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Akshay Labroo, along with Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Sandeep Chakraborty, visited Gurudwara Chhati Padshahi in Rainawari on Wednesday to extend warm greetings to the Sikh community.

The DC and SSP, accompanied by members of the Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee, paid obeisance at the Guru Granth Sahib. The Gurudwara authorities expressed satisfaction over the arrangements made for the occasion and conveyed their gratitude to the District Administration.

Addressing the gathering, the DC highlighted the profound contributions and universal teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, emphasizing that the Sikh Gurus promoted noble values through institutions like Langar, Sangat, and Kirtan, which embody the principles of equality and selfless service.

Extending heartfelt greetings, the DC expressed hope that the occasion would further strengthen the spirit of brotherhood, unity, and harmony, fostering peace, progress, and prosperity in society.

During the visit, the DC also inspected various sections of the Gurudwara, including the Langar hall, and reviewed the facilities provided to devotees.

Meanwhile, the District Administration Srinagar had made comprehensive arrangements through various line departments at Gurudwara Chhati Padshahi to ensure smooth facilitation of devotees on Prakash Diwas.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Mir Imtiyaz Ul Aziz, SDM East Zubair Ahmad, Zonal SP, Tehsildar Khanyar, CMO, Exen KPDCL, Exen City Roads, and other officers were also present on the occasion.
