Poonch: An Army jawan lost his life after being critically injured in an accidental firing incident in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district on Monday.
Official sources identified the soldier as Naik Amarjeet of the 7 JAT Regiment. He sustained severe injuries during the mishap and was immediately rushed to a nearby medical facility.
Despite the doctors’ best efforts, he succumbed to his injuries. Authorities have taken cognizance of the incident, and an investigation is underway.
