DC Rajouri reviews arrangements for Sardar @150 Padyatra-cum-Unity March
RAJOURI: Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Abhishek Sharma, today chaired a meeting to review and finalize preparations for the Sardar @150 Padyatra-cum-Unity March, scheduled on 31st October 2025. The march will commence from Danidhar Fort and culminate at Dak Bungalow, marking the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Iron Man of India and a symbol of national unity.
The Deputy Commissioner conducted a detailed assessment of arrangements including security, traffic regulation, sanitation, route marking, and inter-departmental coordination to ensure the event’s smooth execution. He also reviewed the setup for cultural programmes, stalls, drinking water facilities, and medical aid along the route.
Highlighting the significance of the occasion, the DC directed officials to organize a plantation drive as part of the event to reinforce the message of environmental stewardship and unity.
He urged all departments to work in close coordination for the seamless organization of the Padyatra, which aims to celebrate the spirit of ‘Ek Bharat, Aatmanirbhar Bharat.’
